I’m a big DIY girl! Next to my shoe display, my makeup vanity is probably my most favorite thing in my place. It not only saves space but it helps me keep my makeup organized versus having everything in the bathroom. Here are a few tips on how you can build your own for under $100.
WHAT I USED:
Drill
Hammer
FRACK mirror (IKEA) $4.99
A mirror $9.99
EKBY GRUVAN Shelf (IKEA) $29.99
EKBY VALTER Bracket (IKEA; 2) $3 each
GODMORGON Compartment Box (IKEA) $18
GODMORGON Storage Units (IKEA; Set of 3) $15
RARITET Container (IKEA; 2-pack) $4.99
(Optional) Green Bench (Marshalls Home Good Store) $79.99
BEFORE
The majority of the items that I used can be found in IKEA (check links above)
The mirror is a BOJA mirror ($29.99) but it is currently discontinued from IKEA online.
AFTER
This shelf comes with great storage!
I found the green velvet bench while browsing in Marshalls Home Good Store and although it was a bit on the pricey side ($79.99), it added a bit of femininity to my vanity area.
I love the extended magnifying mirror, it works great for seeing your face up close and personal!
(FRACK Mirro – IKEA)
These storage containers has helped to keep my eye shadows and pencils organized and they store away neatly in the shelf
I found this container in the kitchen aisle of Ikea. I like how it’s a set that stacks on top of each other.
This big thing is seriously my life saver. It stores all my brushes, compact, lipsticks and other makeup products. It also has storage space underneath the acrylic compartment and fits neatly on top of my vanity.
I added this extra lamp because it had flexible light handles that work perfectly like individual spot lights!
(Sorry this lamp was my boyfriend’s and I’m not sure where he purchased it from).
ENJOY!
(Disclaimer) In total, my vanity cost $188.95 because of my $30 mirror (that’s now discontinued) and $80 bench from Marshalls HomeGood Store (which you can choose your own).
