7 Laws You Must Honor to Have Uncommon Success

My initial plan was to write a post sharing tips on how to be memorable but after watching Dr. Mike Murdock on television, I wanted to share a different message. Dr. Murdock is known as an International televangelist, Pastor and self-help author but I’d like to think that he’s simply a wise man who pairs theology and life for the betterment of people. Just like I did, I’m sure you’ll conduct a Google search and discover countless of articles of opinion on the subject of Dr. Murdock, money and religion but I would encourage you to form your own opinion. One thing that I have realized about the internet is that it’s an open space filled with opinions, facts, lies and truths and often time it’s hard to decipher between them all. For the 1st time last night, I tuned into Inspiration Network at 2 in the morning to discover Dr. Murdock sharing 7 Laws You Must Honor to Have Uncommon Success. After only a few minutes, I was hooked. He went through every single “law” and gave information that resonated with my life.  Just as I tweeted, “His words were feeding my soul.” It wasn’t as though he was saying anything new or out of the ordinary but his delivery was immaculate. He communicated in a way that was direct, conversational, humorous and factual. He spoke the truth. I immediately grabbed my phone and began taking notes in my app and I even caught myself speaking aloud in agreement. 

Before I share with you the 7 Laws You Must Honor to Have Uncommon Success - I want to tell you about another new discovery of mine: The Starbucks Card. Whether purchased as a gift or for yourself, a Starbucks card is a convenient way to pay for purchases at Starbucks with the bonus of earning rewards. Pretty convenient right? That discovery made me think of life. Remember the article I wrote on “Investing in yourself“… how awesome would it be to crave or want something and be able to receive it all because our life card was full? All because we thought ahead. All because we chose to consciously fill our card for future use. Sometimes we fill our life card through actions, giving to others or simply planting a seed to reap in the future. I believe that’s the basic principle that Dr. Murdock teaches. It doesn’t matter your religion, it matters the actions you make in your life.

1. The Law of Difference: Your difference decides your importance
Decisions decides seasons
You can live a lifetime in error
You are required to participate in your destiny
You must inventory your life

2. The Law of Mind
Your mind needs a goal and/or a focus.
It needs a picture of the future or it will replay the past
Your mind needs instructions, it is searching for information
Your mind needs a hero. You have got to have an example of what you want to be in life. It needs an example to follow
What invest are you making in your mind?

3. The Law of Recognition
Anything you fail to recognize, will exit your life
God always hides something you need inside of somebody you don’t enjoy
There is something you are not seeing
Everything you ever wanted is around you, you just have to recognize it
Be able to recognize the difference

4. The Law of Two
Two are necessary for multiplication
There is someone who sees in you, what you don’t see in yourself
You are not 5 years away from your dreams, you are 1 person away from your season
Years do not decide seasons, 1 person can create a new season in your life

5. The Law of Place
You don’t belong everywhere, you belong somewhere
Everything created contains an invisible instruction
You don’t decide your assignment, you discover it
You will flourish when you are at the place of assignment

6. The Law of Honor
Your future is determined by who you have chosen to honor
If you change what you know, you’ll change what you do
Never reward people according to their need

7. The Law of Seed
Honor is the seed for access
Gratitude is the seed for more
What you’re willing to walk away from will determine what God gives you
Expect favor
